What to say?

My next door neighbours are really nice i hav one to left and one to right of me. They both hav young children. The ones to th left i get on really well with, but there little boy who is four climbs my fence to go in and play with th little boy to th right of me who is also four. I didnt mind bfor cos they werent doin any harm. But th other day my little boy (5weeks old) was in his pram out my bakdoor fast asleep and i cot th two of them right up at his pram lookin in at him. He was right at my bakdoor so if he cried i wld hear him. I really didnt like th fact they wer so close to him. I hav a wee dog who is very bouncy and harmless and wen people come to th door she goes mental so my MIL came over other day so we put dog out bakdoor so she wldnt jump all over her and little sh*ts went to open my patio door to let her in. So i spoke to there mums and said about dog bein ther for a reason and they shldnt b touchen my door. They spoke to them and tht was fine. Well today me and my little boy wer havin a wee nap on couch and they rang my doorbell and ran away, i seen them and went flyin outside to see them bcos of course dog went mental and i near sh*t maself. I dont want them climbin my fence anymore but i hav droped hince and my neighbour but she didnt take me up on it. So now my bf is goin to tell them but hes very straight to th point and i dnt want to fall out with them cos i will be liven next to them for a very long time. But it has to b done. What shld he say so tht he doesnt upset anyone??x

Splinters are good, id be the same :-P  can you not get paint somewhere that marks your clothes every time you touch it or am i making that up? Like to stop people climbing places they shouldn't? I know my work has anti climb paint on the roof but obviously that's no good but for a wee fence x

Lol ash it sounds good but Scotland is a bit stupid with our laws, we can't defend ourselves in our own home or grounds without us getting charged, if we done that and someone got hurt, they'd be encouraged to sue us... Its crazy lol.

Yeah maybaby that's well bad, sounds like their mums need to teach them a lesson about respecting boundaries and that they can't just wander into someone else's house unless invited. Obviously they know you but still, it could be a paedos house or somethin they just walk into (not you or Scott lol, i just realised how that read :-P )  x

My grandma in Mexico had a big fruit bearing tree in her back yard and the neighborhood kids and even adults would climb her fence to get to the tree well their fences were made of cement and really high. So she had my dad climb a ladder up there and put down epoxy and stick broken glass bottles to the top of her fence! Lol no more trespassers!! Hhaha but of course you wouldn't do that I'm just saying how my wella handled it! Hahaha

Lol I would seriously consider getting a high fence so they can;t climb it.....sometimes extreme measures are needed....We had a group of kids play football on the green outside my old front door (lived in a cul-de-sac so there was a big green in the middle of all the houses) and I wouldn';t have minded but they kept using my gate as a goal post and would batter the ball off it, or it'd kick over and they'd climb over my fence to get to my garden for it....the fence became a 6ft fence after that, and I told them, quite peed off one day (I was trying to study for my Uni exams and all I could hear was my gate getting battered) that if they didn;t stop it, I'd deflate their ball...they kept doing it so I kept my word, Took their ball, and punctured it with my poultry knife from the kitchen and gave them the ball back...... they never dont it again;    Obvisouly you wouldn't need t do anything that extreme but sometimes you can't pussyfoot around them x

I wouldn't sugar coat it I would just say look they can't climb my fence anymore and if I catch them back there again I will take extreme measures

Could say something like you know they're kids and theat they play etc and are used to climbing the fence, but now that the baby is here could they possibly go round the front, as baby or the dog are wuite often out in the garden and you don't want them disturbed?    as for the doorbell thing, that you are trying to get him into a routine with sleeps etc and you need to rest when he does, and you would really apprectiate if they didn;t play chap door run?    the only alternatives, if nothing changes, is to change your back fence to a 5 or 6 foot one :s x
