Constipation

This is my second child I've become pregnant with, but I wasn't sure if it was normal to be constipated in your first trimester, my last trimester I remember it, but wasn't sure, and wasn't sure what was safe to take so I wouldn't harm baby

It is very normal,  I didn't with my first two, but my third. Omgees!! Worst pain ever.  Tmi sorry, but it would take me hours,  and had to used a water bottle,  with warm water to pour down there while trying to go. Sheesh don't want to go back to that! But any who if it gets to bad for you. Ask your OB for something.  They gave me a liquid drink Via proscription.  After taking,  it took at least 2 hours to finally do my business.

I was 13-16 weeks then. Now 32 weeks & everything is fine. Hope this helps!

Hi, I'm Anna! :-) this isn't my post but I would like to add a comment to your question.  While every woman is different,  just like every pregnancy,  labor and birth. Me per personally?  My daughter,  my first came on her due date, I was 19 when I gave birth. Only 5% of babies are born on their due dates: -) with my second,  my son, I was induced @ 39 weeks,  as well as this pregnancy I'll be induced at 39 weeks due to medical reasons.  Enjoy your pregnancy!!

Here's some advice from the MedHelp website and our I'm Expecting app on constipation (which you can find in the Symptoms Manual*) and an article on over the counter medicines (which you can find in week 20). Hope you feel better soon!

*Find symptom information in the app by going to the Pregnancy Diary from the home screen and selecting your symptom from the Symptoms menu. Then click the menu bar in the upper left and select Symptoms Manual to see your symptoms.
