Contractions

I'm 29 weeks along, monday i was taken into l&d from work as i thought my water had broke, turns out it didn't thank God, but they kept me over night for observation because as they were monitoring me they were picking up contractions on the monitor about every 20 minutes, they hooked me up to iv to see if maybe i was dehydrated and if it would so the contractions, doctor even said they were not bh contractions, after a bad of iv fluid and still having contractions they gave me a shot to Terry and so them, the shot didn't fully stop them just slowed them a lot, i was sent home Tuesday morning as they slowed and i was able to sleep through the more mellow contractions i was having, ask day Tuesday they were spaces pretty far apart and stayed pretty mellow, yesterday i was getting 1-2 every 2 hours, they were still mellow but getting a little stronger, today I'm getting 2-3 every 1 1/2 hours and they are a little stronger, still tolerable. I do have a very high pain tolerance, i have an appointment with my doctor today as i was told to follow up with my doctor by the end of the week, I've also noticed i am extremely swollen down there, which I'm worried about, I'm going to bring it up to my doctor today. I don't know what's going on, when they checked to see if i was dialated on monday i was still closed and my cervix was still high. Im worried that my little man is going to try to continue to come this early. It's way to early. He still has 11 weeks to go. I need some advice.

It sounds like you are taking all the proper precautions by going in any time something feels off that is amazing! My son came 7 weeks early at 33 weeks I wasn't too far from where you are now. I also was given the shot to stop contractions but only slowed them. Your Dr will check for dilation during your next appointment. May put you on bed rest if you haven't already. Your are doing the best you can, just follow drs orders as they come

I haven't been put on bed rest. Doctor doesn't think it's nessesary since i work in a call center, but I'll see what he has to say today after my appointment. I'm not ready for my little one to be here yet.

I wish I had some advice for you, this sounds pretty scary I would be really concerned as well. Please tell me you're doctor tells you. Hope you feel better.
