Could I be?

I too need advice on what to do.  My cycle has been normal until about 2-3 months ago; it always came but has been a little crazy. 3 months ago it was late, 2 months ago it was early, but most recently I was due 4.17.10 but it came 4.12.10 and was a lite flow Monday and Tuesday then just shut off like a faucet...I mean nothing it didnt even tappering off. I felt dizzy at work last week 4.9.10 and has vomitted early in the morning on three seperate occassion over the last 2 weeks (4.15.10 @ 1am being the most recent).  I have been falling asleep at my desk during the day and cant get enough sleep at night. My breast are not sore, and no change in color.  I do experience lower back pain but it is not constant and is tollerable.  I have a history of 2 ectopic pregnancies..right side in 1991 and left side in 2001. both required surgery- the first surgery I had part of my right tube removed- never the less I still got regular monthly periods- which took doctors by surprise when I had my procedure done where they inject the dye to monitor the flow in the tubes (this was done when my DH and I were trying to concieve some yrs ago.) the second was done via laposcopy.  So you can understand my sense of urgency with regards to finding out if I am pregnant or not- if its in my tubes...AGAIN...I can catch it early enough to just take the pill instead of having another surgery. I took a HPT last month (March) and needless to say it was negative.  how soon should i wait to take another one; kind of tired of the disappointing results. PS i scheduled an appt with my GYN for 4.29.10  Oh I failed to mention the fluttering in my stomach, cant feel it outside only inside and sometimes its high and others times its towards the lower belly.  Please advise. Thanks! BTW I am 38yo; 2ectopics and worried!

Hi!
If you were my patient, I would advise you to have a blood pregnancy test done. If you want to wait and do a urine test, I usually recommend doing them weekly.
If you were my patient, and really wanted to up your odds of pregnancy,  I would encourage you to go on to IVF. With significant tubal damage, your odds of another ectopic pregnancy are very high.  (IVF doesn't prevent ectopic, but it will increase your chances of pregnancy overall).
Don't wait until your ovaries are too tired!
Good luck!

I can't relate to your eptopic but I can tell you that unfortunately if you were feeling fluttering you would definately be far enough along to get a positive HPT in March, especially if you were feeling it by your belly button because the uterus doesn't normally reach the belly button until you're about 5 months along. However, it is possible that you are just early in pregnancy and the fluttering is just gas that you're paying more attention to because you're watching for symptoms but all other symptoms are definate signs of early pregnancy. Best of luck to you!

Oh I bet the anticipation is killing you! If you're as inpatient as I am... I would go get a first response- if you're appointment was last week your hCG should be high enough now to be detected on a home pregnancy test. Keep us updated.:)

Thanks for your comments and advise.  i went to my appointment last week.  Dr said she thought she saw a line, but the test was not complete so we waited a while longer and no 2nd line which we believed to be a negative.  a blood test was ordered and performed.  i called the office a hour ago or so. Results just came in but the Dr hasnt had a chance to review them yet.  Will call me tomorrow.  UGH!! i was vomitting again yesterday morning.  what is wrong with me?!
