progesterone supplements

my hcg at 12 days post conception was 13 and at 16 days post conception it was 54 but my progesterone was 3.5.  I'm taking progesterone injections 250mg weekly, My question is my doctor just added 90mg suppositories daily and contiunue the injections do you think this is sufficient?  I've had 2 miscarriages last year and this is the last chance im giving it so i want to do as much as i can to save this pregnancy.  My doctor doesnt seem to care for me much, I mean he knows ive had 2 miscarriages and he hasn't even given me an appointment to see him yet, I had to insist that he add more progesterone for me.  Do you think im doomed to miscarry again?

thank you so much for your answer but unfortunately i have miscarried again.  Couldn't get another doctor to take me because i was high risk.  I am going to see an RE and i'm very nervous about trying again, I just don't know if i can take another emotional blow!  by the explaination of luteal phase defect im not sure that i have that because i don't ovulate very close to my next period but i also don't know what could cause such low low progesterone levels and i just wish i knew if the odds could be better or if there was any way it will work out for us.  Im very upset and angry and sad.  I'm a bit overweight so maybe it will never work out for us.

Hi!
Your HCG levels sound good, but your progesterone, as you know, does not.
One possibility is to have another level done now that you are on therapy.  It should be well over 25.

Also, if you are not getting attention from your doctor, should you find another one?

If you do have another miscarriage, you should definitely get a work up for recurrent miscarriages!

Good luck!

I hope  everything turns out OK!
