Depression/Anxiety

Hi ladies. I am 34 weeks pregnant. And my anxiety and depression have gotten very intense the last few weeks. My OB    okay'd me to get back on Prozac,  but I am very concerned about the effects this antidepressant can cause to my baby. I know my mental health is important, but I feel very confused on If I should take this medication. Part of my depression is because I recently moved to Wisconsin and know nobody I'm home all day and it's just been really lonely for me lately. Please no judgemental comments, I am just looking for some female support. Thanks :)

I've heard that encapsulating your placenta and taking it as like a vitamin can really help with depression. It also can help with milk production and shrinking your uterus back to normal size. I know you still have a few weeks, but at least its a natural option. Maybe seeing a therapist might help or breathing techniques to ease your anxiety.

I have really bad anxiety & I've been on medication for years and stopped when I got pregnant. It's gotten a lot worse lately but I'm too afraid to take medication because I don't like the thought of taking something like that pregnant. I also have really bad back problems but I won't take anything for that either; I'm too paranoid. If you feel that you can't handle it on your own then tell your doctor and take what they tell you is safest. Do what you think is best.
