I had sciatica often during my first pregnancy, but not until I was in my third trimester. Now I'm 14 weeks along with my second baby and have had sciatica much more often and worse to the point where if I am having a flare-up I can't put any weight on my right side while standing. I read online that if you buy a tennis ball and put it against the wall and you lean up against it and roll the sore spot against the tennis ball it will provide a deeper massage on the area and help it go away. I have yet to try it, but I will definitely be buying one soon to help. I've noticed the longer I spend sitting down, I'll have a flare-up. I hope you find something that gives you relief!
I have no idea! This is my second pregnancy and I had it bad with my first and just as bad with this one! Both my kids are big my daughter was 9 pounds and this one is measuring 2 weeks ahead so I'm not sure but I do know it hurts really bad
luckycharm - maybe i'll give that a shot! usually my body feels better when i'm in water. but i haven't been able to just soak in a bath yet!
nowits3 - i wonder if it worsens with each pregnancy!? but i feel like this baby is more on my scale than my husband's. my husband was only 7lbs when he was born, and my first mimicked his birth weight and first year. this one feels like it mimicks mine. i was almost 10lbs at birth :/
Oh man I'm in the same boat!!! So uncomfortable!
Unfortunately i dont know anything about that but im guessing maybe a warm bath with epsom salt can help i use that to help my body relax and works like magic :)
