About 3 months later I stopped getting my period I gained weight .I gained probably 50 lbs in 8 months.. At first I thought I was pregnant so I got a hpt and it was negative. I went to the drs and there’s was negative then the dr informed me that If I didn’t get my period my 17th birthday I had to be pregnant. So my birthday came and went no period no positive test .I went back got a  blood work done and they found nothing so I to my drs instead of obgyns they told me I had pcos. I don’t think I have it. The only problem I had was weight gain in the middle  and no period . They gave me an ultrasound no cysts nothing wrong . They then discover I have insulin resistance and put me on metamorfin I was on that for about 3 months got my period back but they medicine made me sick 24/7 . I lost insurance again so I went off it I have been fine though for about 2 yr. Until now Although I never lost the weight I have never gained any either . I run around on my feet. I recently quit drinking soda about 3 months ago all I drink is water . I eat haelthy food. I lost my period again I haven’t had it in 3 months and my husband and I are trying to have a baby we have been trying since last December. I am 19 he is 25 he has no problems . I am pretty sure it's me. I track everything and I take home ovulation tests. To no Avail were not pregnant . I don’t know nemore I want to start a family and I want to be healthy but I cant loose this weight. My Question is what do I do? I cant find any programs that will help me with the infertility testing costs Is there any Programs Available in Ny? What do u suggest I go and get test for?  I want to  find out if something is wrong now that rather when its too late. . Please help. Thank You So much.

you don't think you have PCOS ? well,

PCOS can include the following symptoms:
Irregular or absent periods
Numerous cysts on the ovaries in many, but not all, cases
High blood pressure
Acne
Elevated insulin levels, Insulin Resistance, or Diabetes
Infertility
Excess hair on the face and body
Thinning of the scalp hair (alopecia)
Weight Problems or obesity that is centered around your mid section

Sounds like you have atleast 3 of these..  And, I agree with tee264. You should see a good doctor and get it figured out. Good luck.

My sister was told she had PCOS had all the same problems as you seemed to have and they told her that it would be very hard for her to get pregnant about 2 years ago. She and her husband now have a 10 month old baby boy. But it was hard for them to concieve. Hope it works out for you but just incase I'd see your doctor.

I suggest you see your primary GYN doctor as soon as possible. If at all possible you should reconsider having a baby until you get longterm medical coverage. It is costly to take care of a baby, nevertheless, the medical cost. Good luck and I pray that everythig works out!

Hello,

I suggest you see an ob/gyn that can help you through this process.  They can also inform you which costs may be covered and which may not.  Also, be mindful that you are young and have a long reproductive life ahead of you.

I wish you well.
