I'm very happy with my Dr And nurses just not the receptionists. They seem very incompedent.
Even the ultrasound tech is great she will answer any questions you have.
It does take awhile to get phone calls returned. I don't know if it's the nurses or the receptionist not getting the questions to the nurses in a timely manner.
I wonder what the level of incompetence is and how much that doctor is paying them to act like retards. I would totally hate it if I had to go to that office one more day. I’d just talk to the doctor or whoever the boss is and complain. That way they’ll know not to hire people with empty brains. Ugh….
You always have the option of filing a complain with the medical board in your state. If it were me I"d probably wait until after the baby is born though. I had to do this with a pediatrician my kids went to.
It was 2 older indian docs that have been practicing around here for eons, they are now treating the children and grandchildren of kids they treated as infants. A lot of people swear by them. *I* was NEVER impressed. But when I took one of my DD's to get her 5 yo shots they said they didn't have all the immunizations she needed and i could give her the ones they had and bring her back for the rest of wait and do them all at one time. I opted to do them all at one time rather than put her through it twice. When we did come back, she got her shots and I thought all was well til we went to check out and the nurse (who was always rude) was like "why'd you let them give her these shots twice?" I was like WTF? They had put in her record that she got them all the FIRST visit, then got them AGAIN the 2nd visit.
Here in Georgia all immunizations are reported to a central system called GRITS maintained by the health department. There was NO way I could get it corrected becuase there was no proof she didnt' have the first set. It just really made me wonder about their medical record practices. I immediately switched my kids to a new ped and have been much happier. After changing I looked up those 2 indian doctors medical license profiles...Turns out one of them (the one she saw) had a board order against him and had been disciplined for the death of an infant that had known problems he didn't take the proper procedure on. SOO glad I switched.
My point is, I too, can understand your frusteration, some doctors just shouldn't be allowed to practice. Some of their staff should be knocked in the head LOL
I'm also glad that everything ended up being ok. I know it'll be hard to wait another day, but try to distract yourself so that you don't think about it too much and the time will surely fly by :-)
Our oldest son has regular follow ups with an ophthalmologist due to an eye condition he had at birth. He hasn't yet been able to sit for eye exams, so she's been doing sedated eye exams on him in the OR every few months. Immediately following his last one, my husband spoke right to her and she indicated there had been no change. A few days later, we got a call from the Eye Clinic and they were annoyed because we'd missed a post-op appointment......meanwhile, no one had EVER mentioned that we had one!! So.....I totally get your frustration at learning you'd "missed" an u/s/NST appointment that you never knew you had!
That is completely crazy! I am glad to hear that everything ended up being okay with your baby but I think your doctor's office needs to work on their patient mannerism! I would never stand for such a thing and a lot of the things they do at my doctor's office I don't have a choice but to go along with it (military base) and I don't know what the case is with your doctor but when all else fails find a new one! I hope that everything stays okay with you and your little one!
