Due Date/How Far Am I? The doctor didn't make sense!

So I found out 3 weeks ago that I was pregnant. I went to the health department and the nurse did a pregnancy test there and it was positive. She set up my appointment with my OBGYN. After that, she asked me my last period. I told her and she said my due date was September 5 and that I was 8 weeks pregnant. However, a friend of mine who was 5 weeks pregnant had the same due date....? And when I put my period into pregnancy calculators it's showing that I'm just now 9 weeks even though I was supposedly 8 weeks three weeks ago....?

So anyways, she said after I get an ultrasound that they would give me a more accurate due date after seeing how far along I was. I decided to ignore the due date she gave me and wait til then. However, my ultrasound was today and when I got there, they told me that because of my insurance they had to get pre authorized for the appointment and that they didn't get to do that, so the only thing they would do today is check to make surethe baby is healthy and the rest would be rescheduled. So all they did was do a quick look and check the heart rate (165 BPM) and that was it. She barely said a word to me.

So here I am....knowing I'm pregnant for 3 weeks now and having to wait another twoweeks before I can even figure out far along I am or when my due date is?! Can anyone help me find out or figure it up?

My last period was November 28 - December 3 2015.

Everyone already knows I'm pregnant and keeps asking me how far along i am and when I'm due, and I can't even give them an answer! I'm very frustrated.

Dont go with ur last period. Wait until you have the altrasound to be on the safe side. With my last period and how many weeks i really am is off by 2 weeks. With my period my due date should be February 25th, but my real due date is March 7th.

Until I got my ultrasound I went by the pregnancy calculator that is mentioned above and just told people May 2016 and then once everything was set in stone I told them May 24th 2016 when I had the ultrasound done. It is frustrating. I waited for about 3 weeks to even get into the doctors to confirm I was pregnant but you'll get there.

I downloaded pregnancy+ and that helps a lot because it will ask you if you know your due date if not they will calculate it. But for a for sure answer you will have to wait for the ultrasound.

If your cycle is 28 days and you are sure about your last missed period, you would be right around 9 weeks and the first week of September would be correct. Yes, an ultrasound is more accurate but if you are sure of your dates, then your estimated due date of 09/05/2016 sounds about right.

My last period started november 9th. Today I am 11w3d and due august 19. According to my last period I was due august 15th but when I had an ultrasound on january 14th they changed my due date til the 19th

It's apps you can download and type in you last period to see when you might've conceived and it will tell you your expected due date as well as how far long you are. My last period was Nov 19-22. I'm 10wks and 5days as of today and I'm due August 25.  It's that's to much then just wait till your next doctor appointment for a more accurate answer.

So what do I say to all the people asking me how far along i am and when I'm due? I've been telling people "I don't know" yet for three weeks already :/ It's just really annoying.

I will be 10 weeks on Wednesday and my due date is August 31. Your best bet is wait till you have the ultrasound to be more accurate.
