I know a lot of people that got the epidural and they have severe back pain. The epidural wad created for c sections considering you get one before you have a c section. I didnt have no pain meds. Sometimes I wish they would only use it for c sections and see how many people actually have babies. I had a natural birth I was up moving around and walking within a couple hours after my birth. Epidural can cause lots of complications. Research research research I have nothing against epidurals but I just think they are overly used.

I'm not doing it either. If you can get tattoos and piercings, or deal wit pain there is no need for it. My mother had both of her kids naturally. I also watched a friend of mine get hers done with her third child and it hurt me watching. She said it was painful; (but she's one that cannot handle pain) therefore it depends on the person. Me personally, no go.

If you always focus on someone else's experience, it will always turn out to be an very negative experience for you. Trust your body and go with the flow, they created the Epidural as a very safe way to deal with the pain of labor and delivery. Remember, in the beginning of time after Eve was discovered by God from eating the forbidden fruit. He cursed her and all of the women that followed with the pain of child birth. Thankfully, Red Raspberry Leaf tea helps your uterus function more efficiently so every contraction does its job without delays. It made my delivery safe, fast and easy.

Im not doing the epi. This is my first baby. Ive heard a lot of horrible stories with and without it. At the end of the day if you feel you need it get it if not oh well. At the end of the day you all tgat matters is the baby and if you are both in good health.  I dont even want to be offered the shot. But I just want to feel everything. And I plan on a waterbirth. So hopefully the water will ease the pain a little.

Everyone is different. My friends loved theirs. I hated mine and ended up with the shakes and it stalled my body so I didn't dilate anymore and ended up with a c section.  I would be flexible and try to see how far I could reasonably go before asking for one. You may surprise yourself. But if you can't bare the pain then try it.

The epidural was what I thought was best for me. I know before I got it I couldnt breathe through the contractions anymore and I was actually holding my breath. IV meds didnt do anything at all just made me frustrated, I was stuck in bed so I could do all of the other techniques I wanted to. I had no complications with getting it or side effects afterwards. I could tell I was fully dilated and felt every contraction from then on through pressure. They didnt tell me when to push and I felt baby come out and everything just not the pain. My plan this time is to go with the flow again and hopefully do some laboring stuff I wanted to do before. I will hold out again until I know I have reached my limits and if it comes down to it I will do what I need to do to still enjoy my experience.

I loved the epidural. Getting it just felt like a bee sting and pressure. They gave me a catheter and I didn't even feel the dilation check, which I usually screamed about. Anyway, I was crying in pain before they have it to me and after pushing and contractions were pain free. I didn't even feel him cut me which was 3rd degree.

Oh don't take the risk of using epidural to be comfortable. It isn't worth it. Pain is normal. Epidurals are not 100% safe.  So that should he enough to skip it. I had a healthy normal short 5 hr. All Natural labor. It's a beautiful experience,  your entire body is in your control. You get numbed waist down to feet with epidural causing a difficulty in feeling how to push baby out.  My poor sis n law couldn't stand the pain so had epidural,  welll then she couldn't push so the doctors used the vacuum which didn't work fast enough to get baby out since the epidural was making baby's heart rate drop they had to give her an emergency c-section which in the end she couldn't even bring her baby home as the vacuum damaged his cranium (head) so he was rushed to a children's icu hospital.  All cuz it started with Epidural,  maybe some don't have these "risks" happen to them but it CAN. Research on it, learn the cons. I got to feel and be in control of my entire labor,  I felt my baby as she came head first then her precious body slide out... it's beautiful,  birth is beautiful it's not scary.  Be brave, do it for your baby. ♥
