Thats a very good point. Im glad to hear they at least take good initative about it and dont just shrug it off. Definitely reassuring! :)

That's probably why they want you to come back on Monday for more labs, just to keep an eye on you. Drs are pretty good with things like that and won't mess around even if there's a remote chance. There are many other things that can cause elevated liver enzymes too, but they don't want to miss something that may be dangerous.

Ohh wow! I can completely understand that. I just didnt suspect hellp syndrome because ive looked into it and the other parts of it dont match up...its only my elevated liver enzymes that matches. The other parts of the hellp syndrome are normal or opposite of what would classify me as having hellp syndrome.

You can look up the details on the "preeclampsia foundation" website. They have some good info. HELLP syndrome is always one thing that sticks out in my head because when I was in nursing school there was a woman in the hospital who had it (she had all kinds of symptoms but never went to seek medical care) but ended up with a lacerated liver and in a coma for 6 weeks. Baby was perfect and mom eventually recovered but it's just something you never want to see another family go through.

Headaches (beyond anything you normally experience) significant changes in vision, any unusual bleeding or bruising or petechiae, chest/shoulder pain, significant abdominal pain (anything more than what you'd consider normal with your pregnancy)... HELLP syndrome is pretty serious so even though I wouldn't freak out I'd want to be more safe than sorry.

What symptoms should I go in for? I have previously had spots in my vision and some days I just feel so out of it. Are those both things I should go in for? If so, is there anything else?

They want to watch you for signs of HELLP syndrome. That's good that they sent you home but if you start getting any weird symptoms over the weekend I wouldn't wait until Monday, I'd go right to the ER

Im 34 weeks and my bp was 143/82. They made me do the 24 hr urine test and the proteins came back normal even though I did have some. They did blood work and it showed my liver enzymes were elevated so they made me come in to the hospital. My bp today was normal now but my liver enzymes are still abnormal. I got sent home but they are going to draw blood again on monday.
