Finding out gender?

I just had a Dr appointment on Thursday and my next appointment is February 26th. That puts me at 18 weeks. Do I have to ask my Dr to write a script to go get a gender sonogram done?

Depends on the doc I found out at 19 weeks I was having a girl they'll let you know when your coming for a gender ultrasound some docs don't like to do it too early because parts are not very clear yet so mine waited untill I was 19 I rather wait then do it early but they should tell you what your having your next appointment

I don't see why not. Parts are fully developed  by then.  My dr checks the gender at 16 weeks.  
I found out at 15 weeks  and  5 days that it was a girl...i gave birth to a girl.

No they will automatically put in an order for it to be done at 20 weeks. They do an ultrasound around 20 weeks for all pregnancies and that's when you will find out the gender. They check growth and check for any possible problems then tell you gender.
