First OB appt

My first appointment with my OB is Thursday morning, 7/28. I'll be 10 weeks 2 days, this is my first pregnancy. I'm getting nervous. What all should I expect? What all tests will be done? Will I get to see my baby on an ultrasound or hear a heartbeat?

Thanks ladies. I got to see my baby on an ultrasound today for the first time. Got to see the heart beat which was absolutely amazing too. Brought tears of joy to my eye! It made the blood drawing, urine sampling, boobie examining, and Pap smearing totally worth it!! Lol

Congrats! I was praying for you today! Yes you will have to give a urine sample every appointment. I teared up at my appointment at 14 weeks because I got to hear the heartbeat. It was fantastic!

At my first appointment we met with our doctor. He asked us questions about anything that runs in the family. We did a vaginal ultrasound. I was 6 weeks pregnant so for my next appointment at 10 weeks he did another vaginal ultrasound because he said we wouldn't be able to hear the heartbeat if we did an external one. We didn't hear the heartbeat but got to see it pulsing on the monitor. Hope that helps! Congratulations!
