Hey! Can anybody tell me how did they found out they were starting to go on labor? I know everyone's different but I just want to kind of have an idea of what could it be like, I'm 37 weeks and I'm really anxious about having my baby

I went into labor with my daughter at 39 weeks on the dot.  I actually started feeling restless, headaches and achey coming down to the day I hit 39 weeks. Didn't want to eat and my bowel movement was more frequent poop wise.  The day i went into labor it was 3am and woke up unexpectedly (due to my water poping a bit)  but I didn't know just yet until I got checked around 9am at the hospital after experiencing the "bloody show". It was also accompanied with mild cramps that got stronger and was radiating up and down my back like a pulse.  Hope this was helpful! Good luck mama's.

I started off with small cramps in my back. Exactly like period pains. It continued for a few hours but the cramps were not enough to make me uncomfortable. Slowly cramps started hurting more until I was in severe pain known as contractions lol. I knew they were contractions because I counted the minutes between each one. Minutes became less and less. Anyways, girl trust me you will know when it's time. Don't be too anxious and stressing. I was 3 days over my due date. So have patience and just prepare yourself. Make sure you have a hospital bag ready.

Everyone is totally different... I didn't know I was in labor.  Everyone said to watch for signs but I NEVER had any of the signs people said.. My back was hurting really bad.
On a Thursday morning I went to the dr I was at a 3 he said I was having contractions that there was a high chance I could have the baby later that day.
My back still hurt.  My water never broke. Friday I was in so much pain but again water didn't brake.. I wasn't having apins in my stomach. Nothing... Saturday at 4am I went to the ER cause I couldn't stand the back pain anymore I was dialated to an 8 ! Crowning and everything the baby was coming , when I would sit down I could feel me sitting on her. And again I didn't know I was in labor I was just having really bad back pains. It was back labor and that was my first pregnancy so of course I had no clue.

The only way I could think to explain it is very bad period cramps. Mine started not so bad but enough that I could tell it wasn't normal. Once it went on for a while I went to the hospital. Went back home, took a shower etc. then they got a lot worse.

I didn't have any other signs besides the contractions.. others say diharrea is a sign your body is loosening up. But not quite sure..?

I'm due the 26th of this month with a little girl(: it's definitely an exciting and anxious time. Just know that it will happen, she can't stay in there forever although it feels like it. Congrats and good luck.

P.S my advice for labor, that helped me with my first, is stay calm and find an object to focus on during contractions and pushing. It doesn't necessarily stop pain but it helps distract you to focus on a picture or a nail on the wall.

With my first, I went into labor the day before my due date, she was born on her due date .  But the cramps hit out of no where. I called my mother, explaining the pain but by the time she answered they stopped.  So as soon as we were about to hang up, the pain started again. Idk if she could tell by the sound of my voice? But she said it's time! I'm coming to get you!! Even through I was in labor for 19 hours, the pain is,well a lot harsher than a period cramp. Couldn't sit still. Felt like I had to poop!

The nurse came in asked my mother what I was doing and I said I think I just have to poop! She said noooo!!!  Don't push! Lol. Another thing with my first. My water didn't break,I never lost my mucus plug, never bleed, didn't show any signs of labor until labor happend.

Focus on being relaxed! Stressing out can actually make labour longer and ultimately more painful. Women have been doing this for a very long time and you and baby will be in good hands at the hospital or birth centre.

Every labour and delivery story is different so you won't necessarily experience the same things as another woman but for me, I felt twinges in my stomach a day past my due date, they developed into period type cramps 12 hours later and started forming a regular pattern. My water never broke though, they broke it at the hospital. I was very scared and it slowed my labour massively :(

Have you looked into breathing and relaxation techniques? Hypnobirthing!? Maybe a water birth if they offer it? All these things can help you stay calm.

I'm due with my second on 30th October. When are you due?
