With my first being a 25 hour labor and my 2nd was 36 hours, I ended up with the epidural.  My 2nd experience was much better than my first.

I dont think you have to go to classes to go natural. Women have been doing it for millions of years. My labor was almost 8 hours and in no way was it not painful. But again it all depends on you.

Hi fthdtyvv,
Our article All About Epidurals in the MedHelp.org Pregnancy Information Center and in Week 36 of our I'm Expecting app might help: it tells exactly what happens when you get an epidural. https://www.medhelp.org/pregnancy-health/articles/All-About-Epidurals/2248

If you are planning to go natural go to some natural birth class  to tlearn how to manage pain, otherwise it will be difficult. I got an epidural after planning to go without one; when you get the epidural its very uncomfortable and painful; for me it was ( everybody is diferrent). But i dont regreat getting one, I dodnt feel any contraccions. Do some research and plan ahead of time.

It all depends on you and how much pain you can handle really as I have a really high pain tolerance. I didn't get an epidural I had the gas but only started using it when I got really uncomfortable but by that time I was already fully dilated and ready to push and I was on oxytocin.
It's all entirely upto u

Unless you have a very fast labor a natural birth can be very hard to do if you haven't planned for it, learned pain management techniques, and are set on it. Some do fine. I went to natural birth classes but by 5cm I was done and got an epidural, and plan on getting with any other kids I have lol.

I say no epidural but its all about what you want. Id watch the business of being born on netflix and do some of your own research.  People like to say youll know when you go in there but i believe in going in with your mind set on what you want.

I got a epidural. It didn't work right way with me tho. I think that was because I took that stuff everyone says works to make your baby come. It didn't work tho. Then one day I walked around the house all day doing squat & jumping Jack's when I probably shouldn't of been. So I made him come when he wasn't ready & that stuff made him poop inside me. It was bad. But I'm gonna try the epidural again
