Getting your membranes scraped?

Have any of you ladies ever had your membranes scraped to go into labor? What's your story? How far along were you when you got it done? Was it successful and if so how long after getting them scraped did you start going into labor? Thanks (:

I got mine swepped at 39 w and 4 days and started having contractions right away. For me it worked to start my labor, but I know some people it doesn't work.

I got my first membrane sweep at 39 weeks. It didn't do anything, no bleeding or cramps what-so-ever. They gave me another one yesterday morning(at 40 weeks 1 day), and also put me down for an induction Monday morning. I've been havinga few very irregular cramps/contractions here and there, but nothing serious. I lost more of my mucous plug this morning(but I've been losing it for a few weeks now), so maybe hopefully she'll come on her own this weekend and we can skip the induction!
