Thank you I'm just wondering because my doctor told me he was going to do that test to me on my next appointment but he didn't say he was going to do an ultrasound and I'm just curious because I still don't know the gender & I'm hoping he does a ultrasound so I can find out the results but I'm not complaining at all I don't mind taking the test I'm just anxious for an ultrasound but thank you all!(:

Its so annoying to hear people complain about taking the GD test.. its like come on suck it up and take it.. the taste might be bad but its not the worst.. if you can't do it for yourself atleast do it for the baby... smh

Well this test is only an hour it will go by quickly, if you dont do.it u have to go to a 3hour screening test , u have to make sure you dont have gestational diabetes its important so take time off your busy schedule to do it .its best for you and the baby

Lili the test is to check your sugar levels for gastastional diabetes- a form of diabetes developed in pregnancy.  And the drink taste like flat orange pop with extra sugar.  It's not good but not terrible either. You drink it, then wait an hour an have some blood taken. Not hard at all. And you get the results within a few days.

How far along are you? Depending on how far along you are, and if your doctor offers it, you could ask for the jellybean glucose test. I don't have much info on it, but you could google it. And if you can't do that, the one hour test isn't too bad. It's better to just get it over with. The hour went by fast for me. Bring your phone and something to read :)

The glucose test is a crucial part of making sure your pregnancy is healthy.yes the drink is nasty to me.but i would rather drink it and wait that hour and make sure all is fine with me and my little boy.than to claim to be "too busy".like one said before. If you cant spare one hour for a test,how are you going to possibly spare hours for a new born?im just saying.

My doctor had me take the drink home and I drank it on my way to my appointment, had my normal appointment and than they took my blood and I was out of there. It doesn't take that long.

Trust me its only a hour but u really need it for u and and the baby and if u fail you go back for a three hour test I'm.glad I took it cause they caught me with extra fluid due to it trust me take it

You're not that busy that you cant wait ONE hour, not even for yourself but for your baby.. we all got things to do but its better to do it and hope ylu pass so you dont have to do it for three hours. Good luck!

Its best to do the test for your baby's and ur health! And try asking ur doctor if u can do the one hour test because it's usually 3 hours

Girl it's only an hour long... Play on your phone... If you fail it the second go round is three hours... It standard procedure there's no way to get out of it lol I wondered the same thing
