Gender Blood Test

C_H
I havery visited my ob/gyn twice to find out the gender of my baby with no luck, baby wasn't in the right position to tell. Once at 18w and once at 20w. What is the blood test called to find out the gender? Not sure if I want to wait another four weeks for the next ultra sound.

You can call and ask your dr, there are different brands but if you tell them blood test they'll understand. It's aggravating to wait that's understandable but just be aware that you'll have to pay for the test they're not covered by insurance unless you're 35+/have a high risk pregnancy. My doctors office was going to charge close to $200 for it, and doing it on my own was about the same price.

If you really can't wait and don't mind spending the extra cash a cheaper way would be to go to a 3D ultrasound place for a gender determination screening which average around $80, that you can schedule yourself

Thank you! We decided to wait the four weeks for my regular appointment and if that doesn't work we will go get a 3D/4D ultrasound.
