Gestational sac?

Hi I went to hospital yesterday for a scan (I thought from my last period 20th nov 2013 that I was 9
Weeks..that's also what the midwife worked it out at) however at my scan the nurse said she could only see a gestational sac but couldn't see nothing in it yet as I could be to early (5w-6w) or the other case would be it stopped growing.
Can anyone give me any insight at all please to do with this? It seems it's the only thing getting me through the next 12 days until my next scan. Thanks.

It usually takes 2 weeks to conceive after your period sometimes later so although according to your period its 9 weeks it doesnt necessarily mean that is where the baby is with my first going by my period I was due August 14 but when they did an ultrasound they determined I was actually due August 26, and with my second going by my period I was due October 7 and when they did the ultrasound with him they determined he was really due October 17 so I hope this helped you
