No D&C for me I had a natural miscarriage, by giving birth. I was spotting form 4weeks. Bleeding and passing clots for over a week before a week before my miscarriage. I saw the Md multiple times up to the end, and got the same answer for the most part. I even asked the question of what are my chances to miscarry and he basically said very low.
Its different for everyone, I had a miscarriage at 8 weeks, and I got pregnant again the same week...
But it is different when you have a D&C its kinda like birth.
I had a termination last year due to anorexia, I was22 weeks (I found out at 21 weeks)... but was too ill.
Anyways, I wasnt allowed sex for 2 weeks (Due to infection) and it would take 3 months for my womb to heal!
But I was also told my next pregnancy might end in MC (and it did), I am now currently 6 months.
Its different when you are further along in th pregnancy.
I am sorry for your loss.
xx
im sorry for your loss.. I had a mc in july i was 18wks... I also was told to wait 2 normal cycles b4 trying.. Your body needs time to heal and no sex until 6wks... I didnt wait to have sex at 6wks and that was a bad thing bc it made me start to bleed all over again..there was blood all over the place scared me to death and i was in alot of pain after having sex and that was at 4wks.. It took me 7wks for me to get my period.. Im just starting to try again this month and scared to death.. best of luck !!
the reason why they tell you to wait a little bit before getting pregnant again is because if you get pregnant again to soon after one miscarriage your chances of having another one can increase in the next pregnancy as far as the no sex thing maybe it is to help you keep from getting an infection internally I'm not sure
Because of risk of infection. Your doctor has a reason for saying wait. If your body isn't ready for a new pregnancy, you'll miscarry again. At 17 weeks I'm not sure if they had you deliver or a d&c, but if you delivered your body will still need time to heal. Even with a d&c you're still advised to wait in order to allow your uterus to heal.
