I'm a ftm and I'm scheduled for my glucose test at my next apt. Can someone whose had it tell me what they do? Bc I'm completely in the dark about everything I'll be 24 weeks.

Sounds like it's done differently in diff parts of the world so depending on where you are.    I had mine yesterday  I had my blood taken then had to drink a whole bottle of original lucozade sit down for 2 hours then have my bloods taken again now I'm waiting on my results

First they take blood then give you drink and they take more blood an hour later and then they take more an hour after that again! You are supposed to fast from midnight to avoid an incorrect reading! Only sips of water that morning

You can eat, but not things with sugar. I had a few pieces of turkey bacon before. You drink the sugary drink. It's gross and it made me feel a little sick. Drink water. An hour after the blood is drawn you can eat.

They have you drink this liquid. I got orange it taste like flat orange pop. Then they have you wait an hour and they prick  your finger to test your sugar. It's to be sure you don't have gestational diabetes. Everyone gets tested for it.
