Glucose test

I'm kind of confused in how this works?

If i fail, does that mean i have gestational diabetes? Or did the test just not work right?  i did the 2 hour test yesterday and have to wait til my doc appointment next week to find out. I heard some people have failed it and had to do the,3 hr one. So what does "fail" mean exactly?

Depand on your result and how high is your scored, they might put you on a special diet or just simply keep an eyes on your weight gain and baby's size toward the end. Sometime it got nothing to do with your diet, just you body's ability to handle them. My doctor told me most of her Asian patients fail and they normally don't eat a lot of sweet but there's sugar in the rice we eat. She was preparing me for the worst but luckily I pass the 3hrs one.

Ohh ok. Well they had me fast for 8 hrs before the 2 hr test. So hopefully everything comes back normal.

When you fail it, it means your sugar level is high. It could be that you developed gestational diabetes or if you ate anything before the test that could have trigger the results. That's why usually they have you fasting during the 3hour test for more accurate results.
