Viable pregnancy or not? I'm so confused!

I found out I was pregnant on May 25th, I know my dates are correct as I track obsessively because I've been trying to conceive. I am just over 4 weeks pregnant and have been spotting lightly since the very beginning. Today I went to the ER to check on the spotting and while my HCG levels are currently at 2184, they saw NOTHING on a vaginal ultra sound. I know it's early but from what I read you should at least be able to see a sac with levels above 2000, I have to go back in a few days to re check my HCG levels and see if they have doubled. I have no real answers, did I miscarry? Am I still pregnant? Is there any hope for this pregnancy? Does anyone have any similar experiences?

Research and information is based on averages and "norms" so since you are so early I wouldn't worry. I'm sure when you go back everything will be fine :) I've had spotting and mild cramping weeks 6,7,9, and 11 of this pregnancy (I'm currently 12 weeks) and baby is perfectly fine (heard the hb yesterday!).

Don't panic! You are just over 2000 so it could be a little too early to see anything. Try to stay positive and wait for the next results. A lot of women spot in early pregnancy too.
