If they treat you as if you have it thered be a much higher risk for c section and a different treatment and an increase in the number of visits you have vs someone who might actually need those visits. Are there no buses? Do you not have friends to drive you? Family? A lot of wic offices have women that drive pregnant women to appointments. Have you considered that?
When i did mine my doctor never told me not to eat
I had to fast for 12hrs to do mine. Passed with flying colors. They could tell by just the color of my blood when they drew it I passed. Clearest results that way.
You can eat before hand. You just got to choose what ou eat very wisely. Nothing sugary as i was told.
I was told to fast for twelve hours too. If you eat it can mess the results up
I was told you could have toast and some eggs before.
I was told I could eat but only protein. But nothing after drinking the glucose
If she is doing the 3 hour test she can't eat until after
I'm doing the 3 hour and was specifically told that I can't eat nor drink after midnight the night before. Busses don't run that early. All my friends don't talk to me since I got pregnant and my family works. I can sign up for Wic until I get my social security card that my parents lost.
Can't* if I had a way there it would be done by now. I don't have a ride that early and I can't go after because I usually get sick before I leave on the rare occasions I get to use my mother's car.
You don't need your social security number to sign up for wic..
All i needed was my i.d and proof of pregnancy. ( ultra sound pic)
And that was it
I've tried signing up they said I needed it.
My doctor told me to eat a normal breakfast then drink the glucola and be at the lab within a half hour so they can do blood work at exactly 1 hour.
