Group B strep

What exactly is it and what causes it?

It can. I had it with my 1st. Not my 2nd and now tested positive for my 3rd however this time its in my urine like a urine infection so im on antibiotics (amoxocillan) now for 7 days. Its weird. Men children and woman can all have it.

I tested positive but I didn't have it with my son when I had him. He's almost 5 now. Does it go away?

Group b strep is a bacteria found in your vagina/anus. It doesn't affect you at all, and you wouldn't even know you have it without the test. They swab your labia and anus and test for this particular type of bacteria. If you treat positive they'll run antibiotics through an iv during your labor.
If you haven't tested yet and are worried about testing positive, you can take garlic supplements, probiotic supplements and extra vitamin c to reduce your risk. (Check a health food store)
