HEAD LICE!!! HELP.

My daughter and I have head lice. I have my schedule c section next Thursday. We've used the special shampoo and combed everything out. We've washed and disinfected  everything. Is there anything else I can do? I do not want lice in our hair once my baby boy is born. Anyone have ideas or at home remedies?!?!?!

I got lice from my step daughter and I had my doctor prescribe me a shampoo. The over the counter stuff didnt work on my hair. Got rid of them in one wash. It ***** getting lice and being pregnant. But I washed everything is hot water and dryed then in the highest heat.my dryer goes. Vacuumed the furniture and floors also. They have a lice spray at dollar general I also used but its a hot shot brand so u can't stay inside after u spray cause its a lil strong but it got the job done.

Well due to your baby not having much hair they might not get it.. just do another hair treatment n keep a watch out. When i was little i used to get lice really bad and i got curly hair so it was hell :p

If your daughter still uses a car seat don't forget to disinfect that,  and your headrest in your car.

Spray everything with a mixture of tea tree oil and water. Do not use the shampoos and chemicals any more. They are not good for your baby or your daughter.
Put olive oil or coconut in your hair, cover it with and shower cap and leave it there for an hour. Rise it with vinegar and then wash with your normal shampoo.
You can put a few drops of tea tree oil in your regular conditioner. It is a natural repellant.
Spray the tea teared oil and water mix on your carpets and mattresses. Sprinkle baking soda on then and let it sit for a few minutes. Vacuume your floors and mattresses. Get rid of the bag or dump teared hehe canister out side.

Okay I've hear of the mayonnaise thing making your head stink. But i know for a fact olive oil does the job. It suffocates the lice. Put it in your hair with a plastic shower cap for a couple hours. & plus side to it also, your hair becomes silky smooth after :)

The package says not to apply heat though because we used the lice shampoo and it has a bunch of chemicals in it. Flammable. That's what I wanted to do  but hubby said no.

Buy a shower cap and do it early in the morning and wash it b4 bed... That way no bag on her head 2 sleep.  I would be worried too.

Use a lice pick to move them off the scalp into the hair then use a hair straighter on high it will instantly kill them!

That's what my sister said to do!! I will do that tomorrow for sure. I just don't want my daughter sleeping with a bag on her head. I don't want her to suffocate.

Yes we got more and we're gna do it all again tomorrow. I checked my baby girl's head and I don't see anything and my hubby checked my head and he said he doesn't see anything either. I'm just being paranoid I think. Nesting and having head lice does not mix. Lol

I know it sounds ridiculous but mayonnaise.. I completely covered my daughters head in mayonnaise and put a plastic bag over her head really tight and tied it. And made her sleep with it.. The lice literally was dropping out her head the next morning. And no more lice
