make sure you wash your hands thouroughly after touching them, if they are herpes they you can spread them, if thats what it turns out to be you can put zovirax cream on them, and they might even prescribe you the tablets, if its from thrush, and you cant get anything until morning you can try plain youghurt, or mix a paste of bicarb soda, it will sting at first but should eae the pain
I went to the ER and they said it was herpes. I than went to see my doctor and he swabbed them but I havent gotten the results back yet. My boyfriends mom had me send her a picture of the blisters before they got better and had two doctors that she worked with look at them and they said it was yeast bumps. So I am still unsure on what they are.
I'm not sure how they will treat it during pregnancy. From what I know they usually have to prescribe Diflucan for the yeast and a pain killer like vicodin for the pain. Diflucan isn't preferred during pregnancy, but in your case they may decide the benefits outweigh the risk. I took Diflucan at the beginning of my last pregnancy before we knew that was causing my incurable yeast infection, and everything was ok, so if they do have you take it know that it's been done with no poor effects. The Vicodin is considered a drug that can be prescribed if needed, I was also prescribed that at he end of a pregnancy due to a back injury, even though I only took it once I was told to take it every 4 hours as needed.
They may decide to stay on he complete safe side and prescribe a cream and no pain relief, but from what I've read the pain is unbearable, and it may sway their decision.
As for short term I wish I had an answer, but it doesn't seem like there is much you can do but take tylenol and just wear some loose fitting sweatpants and don't walk around. =( You can try the warm compresses as well, I hope they help a bit and your Dr. gets back to you fast!
Use a warm, wet washcloth as a compress for 20 minutes, then remove and dry the area thoroughly. The heat will help the blisters come to a head, but leaving the warm and moist washcloth there for too long can create a friendly home for the yeast (and also after 20 minutes have the opposite effect and start decreasing blood flow instead of increasing which is what you want), so be sure to remove it promptly and dry thoroughly when you are done. The doctor should tell you about a OTC or prescription that could clear up the yeast.
I haven't but my boyfriends mom did yesterday and was waiting for them to call her back and tell her if he wants to see me or if he was going to call in a prescription.
Have you spoken to your doctor about it at all? They're the only ones who can prescribe anything to help.
