Possibility of Pregnancy?

Hey there everyone! Ok so I had unprotected sex on June 13th. I am not on birth control either. They guy pulled out tho, but I heard it is possible to get pregnant from the withdrawal method. Then, I got my period the evening of June 14th. Today, it is only July 3rd, and I am having some cramps... and i never get cramps even on my period. Is it possible that I am pregnant, and if so, when should I take a test?

Hi!
I ALWAYS advise taking a pregnancy test!  From your story, its a little difficult to know what your regular cycle is.  If the bleeding that you had on June 14 was right on schedule for your expected period, then you are probably OK, and a test would not turn positive until about 24-25 days after that date ( about July 15 or so).  If your bleeding is irregular you should take a test now, and then repeat, perhaps weekly, until your expected period arrives or your test is positive.

You are correct that people can and do get pregnant despite withdrawl.  Don't forget about condoms and also Plan B.  The morning after pill works quite nicely for contraception if you are not on a regular method, and gives a bit more peace of mind.

Good luck!

No way can you be pregnant - if you had your period the next day, there would be no egg to fertilise, and no lining for the egg to attach itself too. Withdrawal method is only effective if you do it correctly - if you have had sex within the last day make sure the guy has no "left over" sperm from the last time you had sex by peeing and washing his penis. Also make sure he pulls out in plenty of time. But there's still a 5% chance you could get pregnant so condoms are generally better.

I am 8 days late with my period. Tested 3 times and all negative. Never late before. No pregnancy syptoms or period syptoms either. When should I test again or go to the doctor?

It would be uncommon for you to be pregnant by having sex the day before your period. Likely the cramping is yourself ovulating.( this would be when you are fertile enough to conceive)
