HELP.

I have been trying to conceive. The last day of my period was on July 8th. We had sex on July 15th and 17th. I now have a major headache, and feel nauseated, but not throwing up.... I believe I had sex on the right time to get pregnant because I was ovulating, esp the second time... but now It is very stringy and wet down there... sorry for all the informatio... I was just wondering if you could tell if i am pregnant now from what's happening down there...

Hi!
Brittani1292 knows what she is talking about!  Most women do make the mistake of counting the last day of their period as the first day of their cycle, but actually the first day of the period is cycle day one.  Typically ovulation occurs sometime around cycle day 11-16.  The menstrual period is always 14 days after ovulation--if it occurs.
For couples trying to conceive, we recommend testing for ovulation with ovulation predictors starting on cycle day 10 or 11, and then test until positive.  During your fertile time (day 11-16) have intercourse daily or every other day for best results.  The First Response pregnancy tests may become positive as early as cycle day 24-25.  Sometimes even a few days sooner.

My recommendation (because the tests are expensive!) is to wait until the period is late.
Test on cycle day 30 or 31.

IF you find that you are not ovulating, or your cycles are irregular, especially if they are longer than 31 days, then a trip to the gynecologist might be helpful.

Good luck!

Look at the 1st day of your last period, not the last day of your last per.  I just looked at a conception calculator on-line: if your 1st day of your last per was July 4 this is what it tells you:
First Day of Last Menstrual Period (LMP): July 4, 2010

Probable Date of Ovulation: July 18, 2010

Possible Dates of Conception: July 14 to July 22, 2010

Due Date: April 10, 2011 (40 weeks)

It might help... I guessed with your LMP date.

I think it may be hard to say if you are or not based on what's happening down there, because there are soooo many things that happen during this time.
Best just to relax and come the beginning of Aug, do a test.
