I don't think it's worth it for me.
I'm not really exposed to anyone.
I leave the house maybe once a week.
Hubby's getting vaccinated cuz he works in a prison.
I'm due in mid November.
I won't be pregnant anymore when the flu season comes around.
My baby will be breastfed and that'll protect him alot aswell.
My daughter almost NEVER got sick when I was BFing her.
She actually had contracted RSV from her doc's office and it was such a mild case that looked like a case of the runny nose/sniffles. lol
The doc said if she wasn't a breastfed baby, she probably woulda ended up just like her father. [[Hubby got it at 4 months just like she did and was hospitalized and almost died from it.]]
So BFing alone provides GREAT antibodies to make a strong army against nasty bugs!
You should think into BFing for your baby's sake.
SPECIALLY since it's at flu season peak.
i tired researching it online as well and got the same info....alot of people are talking about what was said on the news...sometimes you just have to do whats right for you and your baby...we dont have it released where i am at but apparently it had been in ottawa but yeah anyways...
I responded to this post on the Feb 10 mommies group.
Just looked at some of Canada's info sites about the H1N1, it hasn't really been released there yet. 1.8 million vaccines have been ordered there for high risk groups first, then anyone else in Nov.
I haven't heard anything about that. But so many people and pregnant woman are dying here without it. Here, only those at high risk are getting them until later on in November when more vaccinations are produced, then it's whoever wants it.
i dont know if you guys heard any info on the h1n1 vaccinations but here in canada...specifically in ottawa alot of them were ordered and started being given to the public and with this being said more people have died and been hospitalized WITH the vaccination than without...they are supposed to "restudy" it.. i don't know if you have heard about that also...And here in Canada they are telling people you are better without it than with it...:S until further notice...and that the vaccinations will be given to priority people..e.g children, pregnant women and elderlies
I remember seeing this on the news about oh maybe a week ago....did anyone else hear anything like this?
i think in some cases it is safer but in others no....and i think possibly all pregnant women should be vaccinated as well as children and those at risk...but yeah...
Thank you Lindsay!! It's been such a long time since we've talked!! How's your little man doing?
Im glad you made a decision and it seems like the right one! God Bless and keep us posted once you get it!
