Health insurance!!!

Sooooo Medicaid denied me and told me to reapply! And husbands insurance wont give me coverage because pregnancy is a preexisting condition. And he tried to work it to where it would cover my bills under His name but hey, being an expectant father is a preexisting condition, too! So I'm reapplying for Medicaid and until they freaking approve me I am going to get my routine checkups at the freaking health department! Ba$tards

No we share a lease anyways we used to not live together when he worked on the road and I got medicaid with my last pregnancy even tho we are married and he made 2 grand a week then. But we share a lease and I'm not working he pays all the bills so I can't lie about it besides if I did and they found out I could be fined and go to jail for fraud

I had to quit my job in order to be accepted by Medicaid. It was so horrible. I hate the Missouri Medicaid guidelines.

Oh gosh! That's so bad! I went to see about a sliding fee until I can reapply for Medicaid at this family health center but they said they don't offer discounts or financial assistance for pregnant women. I have never felt so discriminated against!!! But since I haven't seen a doctor in 2 months I'm gonna go schedule an ultrasound to check up in little bear and make sure he/she is doing okay! I can't afford to pay out of pocket. My husband is so calm about this and I'm a nervous wreck! Plus he's off for 3 days so that's gonna be a short check that I'm gonna rub in THHSC's big fat rude FACE!

I feel your pain girl, we goy denied too because i was on unemployment when we applied and it bumped us over the edge...even tho unemployment ran out two weeks later, which i told them was going to happen they didnt care. They pretty much told me not to bother trying to apply again, like they didnt believe our invome could drop...its so lame. Husband doesnt have insurance through work either...fortunately my office is giving me a discount and a payment plan worked out otherwise i dont know what wed do. Impraying baby will be on time, and come naturally so i can deliver at my offices birthing center...i dont know how we ll pay hospital bills if i have t go there.

Well the lady told me that they closed my case YESTERDAY and I started crying on the phone and she told me to do that have his employer write a letter lol she was like if it was still open I would help you do it now! But because it's closed I have to start over. I never got a call from a caseworker like normal so I feel like its negligence on their part. But I'm reapplying and gonna get it done I'm just so mad I've been crying ALL DAY I'm so mad about it!

Try getting your husband employer to write a letter of his regular hours and that overtime is not expected. It doesnt have to be his paycheck stubs... if you check your items needed to bring under each category there are ways to beat it. I live in Indiana... I have my son and my daughter on the way so we go under the 3 person household and the limit is $3500 a month.

For a family of 4 it's less than 4,500 a month bring home and last month husband brought home 5 grand because of overtime which is NOT usually worked.

I thought pregnant women automatically get accepted for medicaid. Why wouldn't they accept you?

Why did Medicaid deny you? In Texas no matter the income they always approve pregnant women.
