Help! I feel a little sick, my throat hurts and I'm 4 mo. pregnant

So as the title says I'm feeling a little under the weather. Super sore throat, and to make things "better" I got a sty and burned my right hand :-(. Will the sickness affect my baby or he/she will be ok? Right now Im drinking some ginger with honey and hot water and just chilling. I don't know if tomorrow I should go to work, it depends on how I will feel....but its not only about me anymore so what do you guys think?

Hey guys,

So as of today I still have a cold...I don't feel as bad as last tuesday at al, just sneezing, some coughing and....conjunctivitis! argh!! darn I can never win! :-( So does anyone has ever suffered of this while pregnant? It won't hurt the baby right? I'm getting so annoyed, everytime something goes away, something new comes! this cold definitely weakened my already weak immune system :-(

Omg I know lol! you had a cold for 3 months? WOW! Besides this, I haven't gotten sick for more than a year! but my bf was coughing and he passed it to me :-( But not only was I sick and coughing and feeling terrible and with a burnt hand (2nd degree burn, holla!) but I also had a sty in my eye. It's like the whole universe got against me lol but now I'm better. Still with a sore throat, a maybe-infected wound  and a 2 week headache BUT no sty in my eye yay! oh and watching hell's kitchen

You poor thing. Ive just gotten over a cold yesterday. I got sick last Wednesday after I got the swine flu shot. (wierd).. And before that I had a cold around 3-4 months.. As long as you take good care of yourself, you and baby should be just fine. Keep watching that temp..

Also, I know how you feel about the burns and scars, I have a huge burn on my arm, a gross scrape on my knee from falling (baby is okay, fell on my hand and knees) that doesnt seem to want to heal, and burns on each of my fingers every other day.. Its tough! lol

Thank you! I've been tracking my temp(stayed at home today, 2nd time in 3 years of working :-( )and its 97.2 right now so thats good. Now if I can get rid of this coughing....oh and my burnt wound is getting infected I think :-/

Faye- I also have a sore throat! So I feel your pain. Honey is one of the best things you can use for a sore throat as it coats your throat and heals it.

Having a cold will not harm baby. If you end up with a fever and it is over 100.4F then you do need to call your doctor. Otherwise, take it easy and rest!
