Help Ladies :)

Hello Ladies,
So I was on YAZ for 2 years when I found out it was affecting my liver. So I then switched to Lutera, about 2 months ago. I was suppose to get my period on Jan. 6. Instead I began what I thought was my period on Jan. 4.which really turned out to be 4 days of dark brown spotting with a few drops of blood. I was experiencing cramping and hot flashes  two weeks prior to this till today. I  I decided to get off my birth control pills and I have not spotted at all since jan 8. I have also been feeling very nauseated and laying down almost every afternoon for a week. My boobs hurt but not all the time only sometimes do they get really sensitive. As well as my back and hips hurting. Do you think I should wait till I completely miss a period to take a pg test, or do you even think I am pregnant?

It is possible that you are pregnant because every form of birth control has a small failure rate.  Also, birth control doesnt usually work during the first couple of weeks that you take it so if you had unprotected sex when you first started Lutera you could certainly be pregnant.  Your symptoms can also be due to any number of things including your body adjusting to the pill and then hormonal changes when you stopped taking the pill.

The best thing to do is to take a test.  Retest, or see your doctor, in about a week if your symptoms continue.

Fluttering and gas feel very, very, similar.  You wouldnt feel flutters due to baby until about 16+ weeks which would mean you would have conceived in September 2009.

Thanks, you've been great help. No there's no way I conceived in September because the hospital has tested me since September and it has come back negative. I think I will just wait to see if I miss my period by the beginning of next month :)
