Hi girls!

Do any of you know if you can drink protein shakes while pregnant?Or is it bad?  I'm 18 weeks 2 days..

I live on them... they are delicious and healthy. At least the brand that I use. I drink the s h a k l e e shake. Absolutely yum!!!

Even before I was pregnant.
I'm so addicted to it.
As a massage therapist I need the protein :p

My ob recommended Ensure nutrition shakes. Vanilla tastes better to me.

Yes you can. I do all the time. Just make sure its not just soy. But if it says soy protein isolate thats ok.

Protein is fine just make sure they do not contain ingredients like guarine, taurine, or creatine, since these can cause increased levels of liver enzymes which is very dangerous during pregnancy.

My cousin was told to drink proteins shakes because it's really good for you!  But I would still consult with your dr!!!

Um im sure there not bad. But try natural smoothie shakes with yogurt n fruits packed with protien. Thats my advice. To ease your mind, try googling the shake or ask a midwife=)
