Well, if this is your first pregnancy, they won't want to induce you at 37 weeks most likely. Induction during first pregnancy often leads to issues and an increased rate of c sections needed. I was 10 days over my due date, could barely walk with bloating and high blood pressure and they wouldn't induce me. Grrr. So, you can ask but be prepared that they may shut that down. And while it is a pain, it could be in the best interest of the baby in a way that you aren't really thinking about. 38 weeks is generally full term. I was induced with my second baby at 39 weeks. My doctor did me a solid and let me schedule it. But going into labor naturally is really preferable. good luck hon, let us know what they say. You can always ask-- it never hurts.
