I know some women who did horse riding while being pregnant because they have been doing it for years and they didn't want to stop. But it is a sport where you can fall of from quite high and really hurt you and expecially the baby. It is a dangerous sport for pregnant women.
I was thinking the same thing. Maybe the thumping and bumping of actually riding is not a good thing (although maybe it's not that dangerous) but if you were to miscarry you would always wonder. But the main problem is that it would be a high place to fall from, and some of the awkward ways we fall when we fall off a horse are really conducive to broken bones or worse. And horses are not very smart for their size, they can kick very unexpectedly if you are walking in the wrong place in relation to their field of vision. I knew a teenager who died from a kick to the stomach, and an adult (well experienced with horses) who died from a kick to the head. I'd give it a pass when pregnant.
I have been a horse owner my whole life and have always risen, except during my pregnancies, I consider myself very experienced I love my horses and they are great but like most people that ride there have been a few time where I have gotten dumped off and I would hate for anything to happen to my baby so I just don't take the chance
I heard no because the movement and bouncing can abrupt your placenta or detach it from the wall.
No, it's very dangerous to your baby.
I used to work at a horse ranch and have always owned horses but like the other comment I never rode during pregnancy.
Thank you guys , much much appreciated
