How long after baby drops does labor start?

Last Wednesday my baby dropped (at 36 weeks)... and now I'm in a constant panic that I'm going to go into labor. Every little pain I'm googling to see if I'm in labor!

My next doctor's appointment isn't for another 3 weeks, so I won't know if I'm dilated or anything until then.

No one seems to think I'm going to make it to 40 weeks!

My baby dropped at 22 weeks and I didn't have my baby until 32. I wouldn't worry. If it happens it happens.

I agree. My baby dropped around 36 weeks. I'm 40w+1d now and no signs of labor.. Have been feeling pains and discomfort all this time but no contractions ((

Your baby dropping doesn't necessarily mean labor is going to happen super soon.
Both my kids dropped around 35 weeks. Stayed that way for weeks
