Has someone else gotten a positive on a screen test for down syndrome my Dr called me saying i have to meet up with him and then hes sending me to genetics that same day im scared for my baby has anyone gone trhu this and has ur baby come out fine.

Did they send u to genetics my sister tells me they are gonna try and put a large nidle in my bellybuton to check the baby but to not do it bkuz it can cause a miscarige and im berly going in my 20 week :/ sorry for my misspelings lol

They don't have to test with a big needle anymore. You can get a false result read about how inaccurate the test is.  I chose not to do it with both of my pregnancies, we decided if there is something wrong we will deal with it at birth since there isn't much you can do anyways. Unless my child has something that would make their life unbearable then we're good we feel that down syndrome and such isn't a terrible issue to deal with as long as everything is developing properly. Goodluck and definitely read up on the test bc it's not very accurate many things can throw it off.

My test came out positive , & my baby came out perfectly normal .
