Hydrocodone and pregnancy

I have been taking hydrocodone under a doctor's care throughout my pregnancy. I am due any day now and take 30mg, how likely is it that my baby will experience withdrawals? Particularly severe withdrawals? I've heard so many mixed reviews...

Every baby is different...any mother who takes opiates while pregnant their baby has a 50/50 chance of withdrawling.

I am on methdaone which is in the same catagory as hydro and oxy. My last pregnancy my daughter came out with withdrawals and was weaned off this one we will see. Doctors say its a 50/50 chance they will withdrawal.

Thank you for letting me know! They didn't wean your sister off or taper down before delivery? Hydro isn't as strong as oxycodone, so that's reassuring at least. I think no more pregnancy hormones will help the migraines so I don't expect to have to keep taking it post-delivery except when I just have to. How much did your sister take daily?

My sister took oxycodone through here whole pregnancy and my niece is the most perfect baby ever. She didnt have to have an extended stay at the hospital or anything. My sister did have to have an emergency c section but the dr believes it was unrelated.

I am wondering the same thing.... I have had kidney stones since ten weeks and recently found out my right kidney is blocked completely from passing urine. I have been on vicaden for pain off and on since 12 weeks but only take half to one a day  otherwise my blood pressure spikes and baby stresses. I've been told its totally fine unless u are taking the maximum dose everyday but it still worries me
