I thought we agreed on a name BUT.......

So, DH and I totally thought we were having a girl, 100% agreed on a girl name, and then came my ultrasound showing it was definitely a BOY.  I wanted to bond with the baby and call him a name ASAP so I started the conversation literally as soon as we were out of the ultrasound!  We'd tossed a few names around so we did have some ideas...He brought up the name situation again last night so I figured that I would post a poll and see what you lovely ladies think...ALSO if you like neither name, feel free to suggest one..BUT it would be helpful to have you choose one anyways =)

AND the middle name Martin is non-negotiable...it is dh's dad's name...
AND our last name is pronounced Mic-Q-sic

hahaha... sweetangel7 I am laughing at your cody comment.  I taught 1st grade in the public school system and in my last class I had a cody who was such a trouble maker, he stole things from ME and my classroom, he was a "problem child".  So, i have a bad connotation with the name cody... and it isn't & won't be a good fit for me if I ever have a boy...lol!

I think it is still Tyler...DH refered to baby twice yesterday as Tyler...This sounds aweful but when I think of Cody I think of someone whom annoys me like crazy SO naturally it is not a good fit for me...lol

Gavin is a great suggestion...I like it a lot but DH does not like the more unusual names...although I don't think it is unusual..There are actually 2 brothers where I work called Tyler and Gavin =)

And, the reason we are using dh's father's name in the name and nothing to do with my father is a long story BUT basically my dad is a very addicted alcoholic and my parents divorced when I was about 6.  To this day 20+ years later he has not been able to sober up and be a stable part of my life.

I am with jenntanis. Us Grown women watching Disney channel how funny! haha I think Cody Martin is cute but when I hear it it makes me think of a bad twin running through the Tipton! They are both cute but I like Tyler better!

I voted for Tyler too!  Like Laura said, it flows better ... at least in my opinion.

And the nickname Ty is cute, imo.  I think of Ty Pennington ...and he's a cutie!!  =D

I voted for Tyler...but keep in mind that he'll probably get Ty a lot...so if you're fine with that i like that one.
Personally I'd choose Cody because we don't want an abreviated form of a name (for instance I like Jackson but know he'd get Jack)

Sorry, this the Disney Freak in me, but one of the characters on Suite Life of Zack and Cody is named Cody Martin.  I personally like Tyler better, but just because.

What's your dad's name?  We named our son for the grandfathers - Paul after my husband's father who died 12 years ago and Michael for my dad.  Paul Michael.  Martin is a great name and it's an honor to be named for a grandfather - we wanted balance and did both grandfathers so there was no favoritism or anything...
