IRON ?

I recently got my blood results back and it turns out I'm not producing enough blood for me and the baby.  My mother told me to start taking iron pills and I was wondering what you guys thought ?

I'm taking iron supplements also. I'm slightly anemic since this pregnancy is so close to my last one (pregnant again 5 months after I gave birth)

I have taken them with each of my 4. Better to speak to the doc before taking tablets though as they come in different strengths. Otherwise i would suggest floradix or another liquid form as irob can be dangerous for baby in large smounts. Cereals and green veg...red meat etc are other options too hun x

Did your Dr tell you your iron was low? Taking iron pills will help if you are anemic, but they can cause some tummy upset and constipation. Also make sure you are drinking enough fluids. Your blood volume nearly doubles during pregnancy so you need to be adequately hydrated in order to maintain that volume.
