Well first off there are more than one pregnancy related rash types... They do start off differently tho... thats why i asked those questions to help narrow it down...

ICP which is pretty serious starts off with itchy palms and feet then the itch spreads and the actual itching is what causes the rash...it affects your liver and is very serious

PUPPP is where the rash usually starts off on the abdomen, and then can spread from there but not onto the face

Prurigo of pregnancy generally occurs on the upper trunks and upper parts of arms and legs. It is rarely seen on the buttocks. Alike PUPPP, prurigo of pregnancy appears on stretch marks. It appears during second trimester of pregnancy and last week of pregnancy. Usually after childbirth, it spreads to the entire body, but within three weeks or so, it disappears

Papular Dermatitis of Pregnancy
characteristic features are extremely itchy, raised spots, which are red in color and get covered by crust. The spots are never found in groups. There is no definite time for the occurrence of papular dermatitis of pregnancy as it can appear at any stage of the pregnancy development, and continues to do so till the child is born

The main point of all these is for the most part there is nothing guaranteed to stop the rash... so its most likely normal for  your rash to continue to spread but without knowing for sure what the rash is exactly its hard to say...along with not knowing when it started, where it started, how fast is it spreading, not knowing if there were any test ran to rule out certain ones, ect... so basically my GUESS is yes its normal for it to spread...

PS im more than certain im prob missing some kinds too...

Are you talking about PUPPP... if so the calamine lotion is only gonna help with the itch and its possible that it could get worse, after delivery it should start to go away...
