The average baby is 8lbs, healthy it isn't as big as it sounds. I know women that have had 11lbs imagine that yikes! Lol
I think it sounds like a nice healthy size☺

A 7/8lb baby is pretty standard not too big or small. You'll be absolutely fine pushing a baby out that size. I'm 64kg and 164 cm tall and my hips aren't wide at all. I've had a 8lb 2oz baby and a 7lb 13oz and they were fine. It's the head size that really truly matters. My friend also told me her biggest baby almost 10lb was the easiest to birth she thought his weight helped him slide out

I have wide hips... having wide hips has nothing to do with anything.. again i have wide hips and a very tiny pelvic bone. My son ended up getting stuck in my pelvic bone....

I ended up having an emerg c section with him he was 8.6 lbs and 23 inches... some people can push the tiny humans out no problem.

My second was 7.2 lbs.. 19 inches... she was a planned c section... im on my third and im being told that she might be closer to my sons weight...

Theres never any prep for labor, either you go into labor have a epidural or spinal block *i prefer spinal block* and push... or you have an emerg or planned c section... the best way to prepair yourself is to be positive, and know that w.e happens is worth it because at the end, you get to hold and hug that precious little one that you waited so long for!

My family is known for large babies. My boy was measuring about 7 lbs at 35 weeks..doctor thinks he is going to be about 10 lbs. I'm scared lol

It did ease my mind knowing that the epidural helps, and that it wasn't that painful. I always wanted a healthy chunky baby, so I'll go through the pain cause I know as soon as I see her the pain going to go away from the joy of seeing her!

Sorry for the length but I figured it may help ease your mind. I had my baby girl on December 15th. My water broke at 10am on the 15th, I was at the hospital by 11am. Labor started at 1pm and I got an epidural at 3:30pm and the contractions were practically painless until 9pm and even those were mild compared to before the epidural. By 11pm I was pushing and at 11:27pm I had my 7pound 8.6ounce 19inch long baby girl. This was my first pregnancy by the way. It went about as smoothly as possible! I did get a second degree tear which is pretty common. The stitches haven't fully disolved yet and I still have some discomfort and bleeding, but for her size and only being 3.5weeks post partum I'd say I'm lucky! I thought it would be much more painful and difficult than it was! You will be fine!

I do have wide hips so that's a plus, I'm pushing though but I am getting a epidural so hopefully that helps too. Thank you guys

7 pounds is an average baby so it doesn't sound too crazy. My son was 8 pounds 8 ounces and I only pushed for about 5 minutes. I'm sure you'll be fine. It's more a matter of how wide your hips are than anything.

How true this is I don't know but I've been told by several people that bigger babies are easier to push out than smaller babies as there is less room for them to move
