I'm pregnant and I took fiber supplement which is not recommended during pregnancy

I was very low in fiber so I took ultra fiber supplement which says at the back that it is not recommended for pregnant women. I am very worried as I took the supplement every other day for first three months of pregnancy. I just started my fourth month. Will it affect the baby?

I agree with CurfewX.  Tell your doctor and I am almost positive they will tell you that everything will be fine.  Sometimes constipation happens during pregnancy.  Is this why you were taking it? There are natural ways to combat that.  When is your next doctors visit?  How far are you now?

Ya i only took it cause I couldn't eat anything in first three months due to vomiting. There was nothing in my stomach. I was feeling bloated. My next appointment is in a week and I am 16 weeks
Just tell your doctor.  I honestly think everything will be fine.  You are in the 'better' part of pregnancy now where usually women are fairly comfortable.  When do you go for your scan to find out what you are having?  So exciting!
I'm waiting to go see a doctor and when she gives me an appointment for ultrasound :) I'm very excited and worried as I did so many stupid things during pregnancy. I hope the baby is healthy and fine

Most supplements will state that they are not recommended for use during pregnancy, but that doesn't automatically mean they're dangerous.  Since supplements aren't regulated or tested by (in the US) the Food and Drug Administration, they can't claim that they're safe during pregnancy - again, this doesn't mean they are UNsafe.

This article has a lot of good and credible information: https://www.livestrong.com/article/460259-safe-fiber-supplements-during-pregnancy/  So, you should check the ingredients in that supplement and see if they are generally considered safe.

Most of all, it's important to let your doctor know about any meds or supplements you were taking right before you got pregnant, or while you were pregnant.
