baby might be coming sooner than expected..?

I was wondering if this has happened to any mothers out there.? I am a FTM, on friday I was at  my doctor's appt for my 32 week check up. I told my doctor about pain and pressure I had been feeling on my vagina and that on Wednesday I was spotting a little. She decided to check me, and she said that my cervix was open (2cm), which is not normal because, is too early. Does this means I might go into labor sooner then due date. Has this happened to anybody else? Will be 33wks tomorrow.

Same thing happened to me at 29 weeks, I was 2 cm dilated. I'm 33 weeks now and 4 cm and 60% effaced according to my Dr.

With my first I started dilating at 32 weeks also by the time I was 34 weeks I was 2cm and by 35 I was 3cm and then I was stuck at a 3 and no longer progressing and had to be induced.

With my son I was 2 cm dilated for 4 weeks before my water broke so it really depends on your body every pregnancy is different

Yes you should! Because when my doctor checked me, I was 1 1/2cm. Then she sended me down to L&D and they checked me again after 3 hours and I was 2 cm. They just said to keep myself hydrated and rest, since I am on my feet all day at work. We'll see what happens...

Yup, make sure you let your doctor know on your next appt. So he or she can check you.

It all depends on your body and baby because you could be stuck at 2 for 3 weeks or it could of changed 3 hours after being checked. There really is no way of telling if that means the baby will be early. But just in case you should make sure you have everything ready.
