Inducing

Are u aloud to ask to be induced? I just started school and I really don't want to miss any days so I want to ask my obgyn if I can be induced on a Thursday night so I can make it back to school the following Monday. If not I'm just gonna pray she decides to come on a Thursday :) haha

I was scheduled to be induced at 41 weeks and 3 days but I ended up being induced at 41+1 because of low fluids I will never agree to it again...I ended up having a csection 7-8 hours after my induction I had my son on July 15th a week past my due date

They tell you at the hospital if you want a fast recovery and to have your organs move back and shrink up to not be lazy and lay around. They say get back into routine. they even have you walking and taking care of yourself not even an hr after having the baby So that you dont cramp up or lose serious muscles mass or become depleted.

If you did get induced no guarantees itd be out thay day/eve/night anyway! Labour can be slow and can potentially take days. I was fortinate with my first felt contractions when i woke at 8 went hoapital at 5 in afternoon as was time to. Had baby at 4:29 next morning. Just bare in mind you will be sore in terms of sittong down so take a cushion to school if u do go straight away and you do bleed alot for a while after like a excessively heavy period so spare clothes and lots of maternity pada adviseable. You also need to pee alot quicker so make sure you can get excused if you need to go to get there quicker! D9nt mean to worry or anything just its stuff you dont nessasssarily get told. You need to take it easy for few days aswell!! If you make yourself ill by rushing bk into things you will be off school! So go gentle and easy and all will be ok!

If you do a vaginal birth youre up and around just a few hrs later theres no real recovery. You arent in bed for days unless there were complications you jump right back in to every day life literally 24hrs after they come out. If you get help with notes youll be fine. Discharges are only 24-48hrs after birth now. So missing just two days isnt bad. You will be going back to school right after anyway. I promise you it is not as hard as you think momma :)

Ya I can get help getting the notes, I'm just nervous. And ya I know il need to recover but I'm only taking off the days I'm in the hospital, maybe that week. I have help with the baby so it would be dumb of me to not go back for a while.

You do not want to induce for personal necessity. Baby's health is more important and there is still growing to be done up to 40 weeks. My doctor won't induce unless medically necessary before 39 weeks. I can't imagine a doctor being okay with forcing labor for school. Stay calm and let her come when she is ready. Can you get a partner in class who can help you with notes and maybe explain things to you when you get back to school? Remember, your body is going to need to recover...it's hard to plan these things so strictly.

Ya, I figured not until 39 weeks, and I talked to all my teachers and they will excuse me for the work , I just miss attendance points and in class assignments can't be made up:/ I can't afford that. I'm just concerned about still falling behind bc my classes are pretty tough for me this semester. If I miss a day and don't here the notes explained I won't understand it:/

Usually not before 39wks and school will excuse you for childbirth as long as you keep your teachers updated, dont just disappear on them and stay on top of your work you will have no problems. I messaged all my teachers with updates after every appointment, missed a week of school and was totally excused bc I did all those things. I wouldnt force baby for something silly like that. Schools tend to have to respect expecting mothers.
