Insanely confused

Probably not the right place for this but hey I'm 21 so... Anyway I was pregnant in February I miss carried a few days after I found out no pain just bleeding as I have a pretty busy schedule I cancelled follow up appointment as I stopped bleeding. About a week ago I went to get more contraception which they had changed from microgynon to rigevidon took it for six days, felt nauseous, headaches, cramps, heart racing, tired. So called doctors and she said am I sure I'm not pregnant said pretty sure as I haven't had a period since miscarriage. she said sounds unlikely that I am but there could be a chance. So took a test said pregnant 3weeks+ which today she told me was five weeks plus. Took blood and I'm waiting for results. how could this happen if I was taking the pill and just getting my body over a miscarriage. With no periods it took three years to conceive my son now I'm not trying and actively preventing I get pregnant twice in a matter of months.

It sounds like you were having unprotected sex in March and April and half of May?

Women are often most fertile right after a miscarriage - so it's likely you ovulated and got pregnant and so that's why you didn't have a period.

I was taking microgynon during that time then a week ago I got switched without my knowledge until I got home and looked in the bag. I have pcos tho so maybe my body is just a little out of whack wrh things. Could it maybe have been twins and only one died or is that impossible. Thanks for your reply

I got pregnant on the pill. Took it at the same time every day. I don't know whether I had an infection or tummy bug. Sometimes these factors can lead to pill not being effective.

I've gotten pregnant right after a miscarriage before having a period. It's not uncommon.
