yes it is normal. when i was pregnant with my son and i went to bed he would want to move and the only way i could get him to settle down was to have my husband rub my stomach. now with my youngest daughter my legs would hurt so bad i could stand it i would have to elevate my legs higher than my head and my husband would rob them and they would swell too and i would have to put ice on them to help the swelling. try different thing see if any thing helps. bath, rob sang a song to the baby when it starts moving.

You could try tums for the leg cramps if you haven't already. Calcium helps with leg cramps and they're safe to take during pregnancy. My Dr allowed me to take Tylenol PM when I needed it. Lots of other Drs say it's safe to take also. Hope that helps!
