how many of you have been induced at 39 weeks and how did it end up??

I was induced at 41+ 5 as no signs of her coming. Started induction at 11.30. Contractions started at about half one, labour by two and she was born at half three. My other child is neatly six so hard to compare but I wouldnt say pain is any worse just intense and fast rather than the gradual build up thats all. Only pain relief gas and air. I was 2cm dialated but my cervix wasnt effaced or thinned. I was worried about induction but was fine!! Good luck.

I was induced with my 1st son and was dilated to a 2 and it went great. Then I was supposed to be induced with my 2nd son, turns out I wasn't dilated at all with him ms ha to have a cervadil put in me and everything happen to fast from there and to me it was a nightmare didn't even get a chance to be put on iv or anything so I felt everything. Now with this baby I'll be induced and dilated to a 3 so I'm praying everything goes better than before lol

I was induced with my first at 38 for my blood pressure. The contractions hurt like a mother and ended up opting for an epidural an hour and a half in. So I got to the hospital at 5 and was induced shortly after had my water broken at 7 and had my son by 11:30. Reguardless of how it goes for you it's all worth it in the end:) best of luck to you!
